Harris Teeter DEALS

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

Kraft Dressing, 16 oz. BOGO price per unit: $1.41, less $1.50 coupon from 3/29 SmartSource = FREE (or overage of $0.09)

Hormel Compleats, BOGO price per unit = $1.44, less .75/1 coupon doubled from 4/5 SmartSource = FREE (or overage of 0.06)

Electrasol Dishwashing GelPacs or GelTabs BOGO price = $2.99, use $2.50 coupon from 4/19 SmartSource for a final price of $0.25

Colgate Toothpaste 6.4 oz BOGO price per unit is $1.38, use .75/1 coupon doubled from 4/26 Smart Source for a final price of $0.25

SpeedStick 24/7 is on sale for $2 each, use the .75/1 coupon (doubled) from 4/26 SmartSource for a final price of $0.50.

Keep in mind that Harris Teeter’s new policy only allows 1 coupon per BOGO. They still don’t require you to buy both, and one rings up at half price, so it’s really just up to the cashier. I don’t chance it and just buy one of each BOGO item per transaction.

Success!

The “Learn to be Frugal” Workshop at the Chesapeake Central Library yesterday was a great success. It was a small group, which suited me fine since I’m not comfortable in front of large crowds. The small size of the class also made it possible for a lot of interaction and I learned several great tips.

Thanks to Cheri for this tip:

Check the meat section at Harris Teeter for mark-downs on stuffed-meat entrees in the gourmet meat department at or just after 3pm for super savings. I’ll have to give that a try in the next week or so.

Learn to Be Frugal Class

Monday, April 6th, 2009

I’m excited to be teaching a class on Frugal Living this week at the Central Library in Chesapeake. It’s free and open to the public. I’m not selling anything or hyping a program… I just want to share my love for living well on less money.
