New circular, new HT deals

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

There is a 55¢/2 coupon for Duncan Hines cake mixes in today’s (3/28/2010) SmartSource insert. Duncan Hines cake mixes are on sale for 99¢, making them only 2 for 33¢.

Lots of other coupons with deals worth making another trip for. I’m personally going to buy a few more newspapers at Dollar Tree.

Here’s the link again, so you don’t have to search for it:

Harris Teeter Triples – Day 1 Results

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Harris Teeter was fairly busy this morning. Lots of shoppers with coupons! (very few without) As usual, my shopping trip was longer because I love to stop and talk to other shoppers. It’s a good way to find deals you’ve missed, as well as coach those new to couponing.

Just used my quota of 20 coupons, didn’t get anything else this morning. Lots of client work to get back to.

Spent $7.48, including tax, for all of this:

All this for $7.48! I love triple coupons at Harris Teeter.

Decided to have a look at the list over at Hot Coupon World and noticed I missed a great deal:

Nestle Toll House Morsels, 12 oz, 2.79, there’s a coupon at the Nestle site for 75¢ off one, making them only 54¢. http://www.verybestbaking.com/promotions/free/coupon/morsels_print.2009.12.aspx

I also noticed last night (in the wee hours) that there were plenty of coupons for Texas Toast croutons in my files, checked the price and those are a good deal too, at only 35¢ a package if you have the 50¢ off Q from 3/21 SS.

I’m planning on heading to Harris Teeter first thing (Hanbury Rd.). There are a few items that usually sell out and I’m bound and determined to get some this time.

I’m looking forward to seeing what Lori (the coupon consultant) has on her list for Farm Fresh in the morning. Last year they had nearly as many good deals at HT did for the same week. Of course, last year Bloom was also tripling in March. (so sad that went away!) Lots of competition, and it was doing great things for shoppers.

I’m really excited at all the great deals coming our way with this triple coupon event. My stockpiles have been dwindling (teenage boys can go through some food!). I’ve done a fairly involved match, but would love it if you post comments of anything I missed. I also tried to verify the prices with the Express Lane for Hanbury. Occasionally I miss one or two; please let me know if you see a mistake.

I had a little extra fun this time around. One of my sisters sent me her circulars — from the other side of the country. So I got a few coupons I’d have missed otherwise (several were 75¢ off/1 where we got the $1/2 version…). I did have to make sure not to mix them up while I was checking our circulars.

I’m also jazzed that the order I placed with The Coupon Clippers on the 19th got shipped out within a day and is already here. Thanks again to Lori for the heads up, otherwise I’d not have time to order any.

I’ll be going through my older circulars to see if there are any other Qs worth using.

Harris Teeter Triples 3/24 to 3/30

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

Lori, the coupon consultant, gave me the heads up and others have confirmed that Harris Teeter will be having a TRIPLE COUPON event next week (March 24-30, 2010). The ad previews will be out on Monday, and I’ll try to get my list done as soon as I can after that. I’ll be organizing what I have and printing IPs this weekend in preparation. It should be interesting to see how similar the lists are to last year’s triples.
