Day 3 of Harris Teeter Triples — still lots of great deals to be had!

I spent $2.97 today, $10.83 yesterday, and $4.43 on Wednesday. My receipt from Thursday is around somewhere…

Here’s what I got today for under $3:

In the foreground I even got a catalina for 50 cents off my next purchase (which will be tomorrow).

In all honesty, this trip’s total should have been a bit higher (by about a buck). Not sure why it wasn’t, but it makes up for the errors on the previous 3 trips, each one had coupons that didn’t triple correctly, which tends to happen when the coupon is for a purchase of more than one item, the first trip was several dollars higher than it should have been. I figure it balances out.

Bloom Shopping Results

I’m sure glad Bloom is close. I’ve made 3 more trips. My husband told me I did “pretty good” and qualified that by saying it wasn’t like my trips in the past where I came home having only spent a few bucks. I still think I’m doing great.

You can find the matchup list for Bloom super doubles here.

I’m thrilled that I bought that second-hand freezer a few weeks ago, else I’d never have been able to stock up on this stuff. Considering all of the above cost about $45, I think I did better than “pretty good,” but I see my husband’s point. Mostly luxury items, convenience products, etc. I guess I would have really saved, had I bought none of it.   Nah….

The fryer chickens are a good deal this week at only 79¢ a pound. The one I got was a big one, over 5 pounds, and had a fairly small neck and no other “innards” packed inside.

Matchup List for Bloom Super Doubles 10/7-10/13

It’s still a work in progress, but it’s a start. If you’re familiar with my lists, I pretty much limit them to under a buck or two. Since I don’t get Red Plum circulars, I’m probably missing a bunch of good deals. Good luck shopping – we have several days ahead of us.

Coupon Shopping Brag Post

I *love* triple coupons. I went shopping after Bunko Thursday night — both to Harris Teeter and to take advantage of the double-dollar coupons at Farm Fresh.

Total cost, including the 10 bottles of Diet Pepsi=$13.34

Farm Fresh -- $15.38, good, but not nearly as impressive as usual.

It took my kids only a few minutes to realize there were frozen pizzas and hot pockets in the freezer. How come they never seem to notice when the trash needs to go out?

Day 28 – AYGC

Well, talk about a let down for the last day. No shopping. No eating out. We had great, big sandwiches (with the slice ham and rolls from Sam’s yesterday) for dinner. Everyone was sort of doing his or her own thing so dinner was a non-event today. Andy and I ate together, my other son was hanging out with friends. Mike ate later (finishing off the last of the shredded beef). Normally we all eat at the table together — every night. Always have. I know my boys don’t realize it yet, but it’s a tradition they’ll likely miss at some point in their lives.

While I didn’t put much effort into the meal, I did manage to use up a bunch of cream cheese and eggs and made a cheesecake. Big sucker, too! With a nice fresh strawberry topping. I had to do something with those strawberries I splurged on before they went to waste. Plus, I made use of 2 pounds of cream cheese (I still have three 8-oz. packages).
