Another day with no shopping. Just using up what we have on hand: fishsticks and beer-batter french fries, heated in the oven. Simple and yummy. For the second time this week, I did something head-slapping stupid. While digging through the chest freezer I set something on the clothes dryer (next to it) to get it
No shopping today. All food was from stockpiles. Tacos for dinner, with some of that hamburger I boiled the other day. Served with leftover white rice and side of refried beans (someone gave me 2 cases of them on freecycle a couple months ago). I used the last of my ready-to-bake cookie dough for dessert
Leftovers for dinner tonight. I had a bunko game, so I just had snacks there. (I won $40 at bunko!) Since it was Wednesday, I used the list at TheCouponConsultant for my Farm Fresh shopping trip. I tend to go late at night. It works out for me, since there’s nearly nobody in the store
All You magazine is holding a grocery challenge starting today. The challenge is to spend $25 or less per week per family member. This includes restaurant meals, but not toiletries and household goods. Even though we’re going out of town for a few days during the challenge, I decided it would be fun to participate.
Lori, over at thecouponconsultant.com has done the Farm Fresh match-ups. Tons of stuff this week!
Thought I’d also mention the great deal on the Fresh Foods Market Meats & Cheeses – Buy 2, Get 3 Free. Good quality stuff: prices comes out to 1.39 to 1.79 per 8 oz package (in the case in front of the deli). Lots of great opportunities. Again, here is the link for the Harris
Bloom is doing a couponing even thist week, but Hampton Roads apparently got the short straw — we’re only getting double coupons (up to 99 cents). Big whoop, we get that everyday at Harris Teeter and Farm Fresh. In any case, I’d already created a list (for triples), so since it is a spreadsheet, changing
I dug in and went through various posts, my previous lists from Bloom & HT (so recent!) and came up with a fairly long spreadsheet with this week’s deals. If the sheet shows a negative, you *should* get overage for that item because it’s on sale. Of course, YMMV, it depends on the store. Click
Harris Teeter is doing triples all week! From today (Wednesday 5/27) through Tuesday (6/2). The Coupon Consultant has a list on her site that she adapted from Hot Coupon World. I’ve been under the weather since last Thursday, and am trying to get caught up on client work, so I’m not likely to even look
In case anyone missed it (I’d never have seen it… hubby pointed it out to me) there was a coupon for $10 off a $40 purchase at Bloom in Friday’s Virginian Pilot. Section 1, page 9. 25% off… not too shabby.
